Students who have been allocated at St George and Sutherland Clinical Schools will undertake the following terms at either St George Hospital or Sutherland Hospital:

  • Medicine (course code: MFAC3501)
  • Surgery (course code: MFAC3502)
  • Emergency/Selective (course code: MFAC3508)
  • Selective (course code: MFAC3509)
  • PRINT (Pre-Internship) (course code: MFAC3510)

Phase 3 at St George Hospital

Emergency/Selective term

The Emergency/Selective term at St George Hospital consists of only Emergency related teaching activities.

PRINT (Pre-Internship) term

At St George Hospital, the PRINT term consists of one 6 week term in the departments determined by the Clinical School.  Mostly these are in the area of Medicine, Surgery or Cancer Care.  Students will also enrol in the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Advance Life Support (ALS) 1 accredited course.


Phase 3 at Sutherland Hospital

Emergency/Selective term

The Emergency/Selective term at Sutherland Hospital consists of only Emergency/Anaesthetics/ICU related teaching activities.

PRINT (Pre-Internship) term

At Sutherland Hospital, the PRINT term consists of two 3 week terms in the department determined by the Clinical School.  Mostly these are in the area of Medicine, Surgery or Cancer Care.
