About Us

Welcome to the St George & Sutherland Clinical School, which is part of UNSW Medicine at UNSW Sydney.

The Clinical School was established in 1969 and is located off the University campus at the St George and Sutherland Hospitals, which are principal teaching hospitals of UNSW Australia.

A wide range of clinical studies at an undergraduate level is offered at the Clinical School. Approximately 300 students attend at the St George and Sutherland hospitals as part of their clinical studies, as well as overseas medical students attached to the Clinical School for their elective studies.

The Clinical School has an active research program with approximately 20 postgraduate research students currently enrolled and working on a variety of projects. The School has particular strengths in a number of areas including Cancer Biology, Immunology, Rheumatology, Renal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Intensive Care and others, and is committed to offering excellence in education and research.
